2 Obama officials: No guarantee taxes won't go up

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama's treasury secretary said Sunday he cannot rule out higher taxes to help tame an exploding budget deficit, and his chief economic adviser would not dismiss raising them on middle-class Americans as part of a health care overhaul.

As the White House sought to balance campaign rhetoric with governing, officials appeared willing to extend unemployment benefits. With former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan saying he is "pretty sure we've already seen the bottom" of the recession, Obama aides sought to defend the economic stimulus and calm a jittery public.

The Anti-Republicans' concept of "deficit neutral"--tax the hell out of everybody.

And why are they having to raise taxes? To keep health care costs down, so we don't have to pay as much, except in taxes, where we have to pay twice as much.

It's the Biden school of economic theory--spend your way out of bankruptcy.

Surely this comes as no surprise.

Ofc taxes have to rise, people must be delusional to think taxes can stay the same after so much money was spent by the Govt. in such a short space of time and that applies to almost every country who had a huge stimulus packages.

However, I am sure it comes as great shock to Dear Leader's deluded disciples who believed he could work miracles, turn water into wine, walk on water, heal the sick, make the blind see, raise the dead, and tell really funny jokes on the Tonight Show.

The PBO sychophants aren't surprised. They'll eat **** if PBO told them to. PBO's voting base is either unemployed, in this country illegally, or too young and too stupid to know just how they're getting ass ****ed. Wow...what a load of hyper-partisan crap. While many of Obama's supporters are blind in their following of the president, just as many voters saw him as the better option, while others the "lesser of two evils." Let it also be known that just as many voters show blind devotion for Obama's republican counterparts. I voted for Obama, and can honestly say that I like some things that he's done, and find some to be absolutely ridiculous. For others, I remain undecided until I can make an informed decision. So, as part of Obama's voting base (which I am) do you then claim that I am any of the things you have stated above. To use of the type of language that would get the attention of the American people and possibly effect the needed changes to stop the continuing destruction Obama has set in play with his lies like, "I can make a firm pledge. Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes."

The Prof listed 14 lies Obama has been caught in, in the last 7 months and I believe it's accurate. But let's look at what he's done in addition to these lies that will add to the coming devastation, like the Hoax of the benefits of Cap and Trade and lies of it's benefits. The lies of Health Care reform which is actually a plan for the elimination of the health care insurance industry to be 100% replaced with a "Government" owned and run plan. Add then the take over and control of the stock market that is beginning with wage control talk from Obama and the Congress.
Raising Taxes is the tip of a gigantic iceberg that leads directly to Socialism and possibly a dictatorship. Liberalism has been called a disease but until now it has been considered nothing more than an annoying nuisance, but if not stopped soon it will develop into a terminal illness for the concept of the American Government as a Democratic Republic build on Capitalism.
Here's where I piss off the some Conservatives that don't want to admit the full truth. Obama and his Liberal disciples have been quick to blame everything that's is wrong on the Bush administration and I think that what Obama is getting away with is in a way Bush's fault. How you say? Simply put the back lash of the opposition to the policies of the Bush era has made it possible for Obama to use that pendulum swing to take the Nation in directions even Liberals would otherwise never allow to take place.
It's time in this Country for openness, honesty, and education along with a return to the Constitutional principles that made this Nation envied around the world.

Taxes had better go up. We were running on credit back when the bailouts were going on. Since then we've tacked on top the stimulus and health care. I for one don't want to find out what the limit on that credit card from China is.

I'm curious, when the wealthy are already paying 15% less than they did under Reagan, why would you object to asking them to pay 1% more? Are you all so wealthy that this would hurt you, or is it just part of your principle that government should shrink until you can drown it in the bathtub?
