This is really sad. It was just a few years ago the people would uproot themselves just for the chance to live in California. I think we'd have to go back to Pompeii to find a city that went from a pleasant, sunny place to live, to a wasteland so quickly.

I left that state for college and haven't looked back since. People ask if I'll return upon graduation, but the way things are headed I don't think I'll be back for a while.

This could be a blessing in disguise for California. If SEIU strikes, the Governator could fire the whole sorry lot of them (and being fired that way would probably mean no need to pay the parasites unemployment), while creating 95,000 immediate job openings to pull people off the unemployment rolls. Not to mention busting one of the more parasitical unions outside the UAW.

Arnie doesn't have the balls to fire them. It would be funny, but we can go ahead and forget that.

You're exactly right. He knows as well as you and I do, that if he canned all those folks, Al and Jesse would be all over him and the rest of the PC, "afraid to called a racist", community would support them.

PBO would call Arnie: "Ok, let me be clear..."

Unions represent the interests of a large group of people, who, as human beings, only care about the welfare of their lives and their progeny. It is not completely a bad idea to organize for good working conditions and fair treatment; That way of living generally helped increase the living standards of americans in the 1950's. But like any action, if you get greedy, you lose.

Yes, unions should look for good working conditions, but it's important to understand that if the companies(or government) they work for is not able to compete(or function), the striking for higher wages hurts their livelihoods more than it hurts the owners, who can lay them off.

He would accuse the Governator of acting stupidly, and the Governator would point out that Dear Leader is a girly man, and the conversation would go downhill from there.

The Governator has way more trigger time that the Fuerher, though. It could get ugly.

Governator, "be cle-ah viz ziss! You skanky bas-tahd."
