Police called on retirees at senator's LA office

Thursday, July 30, 2009

Police were called on a group of retirees who refused to leave Sen. Dianne Feinstein's West Los Angeles office until she talked to them about health care reform.

Los Angeles police Sergeant Rich Brunson said Thursday that police lured the group of seven outside somehow, then locked the building's doors behind them.

Brunson had said earlier that eight people were being taken into custody, but corrected himself after getting new details from officers on the scene.

All they wanted from Di Fi was a few answers. I'm surprised her office people didn't insist on them being arrested. This is what all Californians face if you ask one of the two worthless Senators anything because they don't know anything.

Freedom is slavery.

All are equal. Some are just more equal than others.

Freedom of speech is NOT for those that oppose the Democrats/Liberals.

If it were not for the double standard, Democrats would have no standards at all.

Hope.

NOV 2010.

Yes we can.

Nothing to see here, folks. Move along.

Don't be so quick to jump to conclusions. You weren't there. You don't know how they may have been behaving. It's also quite possible that Feinstein was booked with other appointments and engagements all day and couldn't meet with them. From what I read earlier, she offered to meet with them next week and they refused.

Regardless of party affiliation, there are not much standards left anymore. Each party is filled to capacity with evil, sneaking around doing their evil deeds while keeping below the radar.

the merits of it are one thing

the politics are another, play putridly for difi

not a pretty headline

That's because the American people let them.

I guess they don't teach the finer points of U.S. Government and Civics at Riverside high schools. Feinstein is on the Senate Judiciary Committee, and the first woman to chair the Senate Rules Committee and Senate Intelligence Committee. She an exceptionally successful and popular politician.

I had the opportunity to meet both of our Senators in Washington DC last week. Although I don't agree with all of their individual policies, they are both very smart and savvy women who know how to get things done in Washington DC.

The state of California is lucky to have two very powerful and experienced senators.

I also got to see Senator Feinstein argue on the floor on a the Thune Amendment, for national reciprocity for concealed carry licenses. It was voted down later in the day.

Besides their party affiliation, I don't think you really know a Goddamned thing about our senators.

So you think that California is lucky to have these two as their Senators? I think those two are indicative of why California is about to go bankrupt. They have no idea how to serve the people....just themselves.

Maybe.

But the Dems are inept villains, which is unpardonable. They're like villains out of a Jerry Lewis movie.

California going bankrupt has nothing to do with their Senators, and everything to do with the idiotic policy of running legislation through referendums. You know the referendum where people want more programs, then they have the referendum where they refuse a tax increase to pay for said program. Yeah I know that is simplistic to say the least, but California's budget problems have been a very long time brewing.

Besides, did anyone bother to read the end of the story:
Feinstein spokesman Gil Duran says staff offered the retirees an in-person meeting with the senator during a Los Angeles visit next week but that they demanded to speak with her immediately.

Ummm, was she even at her office? They were offered a meeting with the Senator in one week, they refused. Thus they needed to leave. I would expect the same treatment with my Congressman.

This is what you can expect from the Stalinist Liberals. You never saw this happen under Bush. I'm surprised these old folks were thrown into a gulag yet. Maybe they are waiting to complete their death counseling first.

How the **** is this news? They would have been treated the same way if they were 25 year olds demanding to talk to Feinstein about the same topic. A group of people in a Rep's office doing the same thing would have encountered the same result.

Can anyone say, "Facism"?

What the **** are you talking about?

I would have to disagree with you in regards to Barbara Boxer. I think she is one of the dumbest people in the Federal government and way out of her league. She is a demagogue and mentally operates beyond the boundaries of reality.

Well, if you have to ask, there's no point intrying to explain it to you.

How is this fascism? Do you know the definition of fascism? You can't even spell it.

Oh, well, perhaps totalitarianism would have been better? Oh, wait, Fascism is totalitarianism. Ok, glad we got that straight.

WTF does this have to do with Obama? The ODS and partisan Bull**** is flying high here.

And BTW, under Bush, anyone with an "offensive" T-Shirt (i.e. saying anything bad about Bush) was not allowed near him.

Having the police escort a group of protestors out of the Capital = "facism."

I got what you're saying, I just think it's dumb.

No.

"Smart"and "Savvy" are not terms applicable to the Bimbo Duo from California.
They most certainly do not act in the interests of the state that sent them to Washington.

For some, it doesn't matter what a senator does. As long as she's/he's a Democrat, they can only bash the politician. Let them, particularly if it helps their self esteem.
