Obama more bartender than mediator at beer summit

This is factually incorrect. I think you already knew this, but instead preferred to post prevarications....

Let’s get together at the White House for a cold beer.” That was the suggestion of Sergeant James Crowley, who wanted to ease the tension over the arrest of Harvard Professor Henry Louis Gates in his own home.

Again you are lying and hoping no one will notice. We notice.

So, In conclusion, Gates is still a race baiter, Obama got his photo op, and the media can spin this as a great success.... Reading between the lines though, nothing came out of this meeting, It sounded like it was tense, and that stubborn heads prevailed...

Yes mr. president, We learned a lot from this.

This whole thing was stupid. The dumbest thing which happened during the whole of this circus was when Obama opened his mouth and spoke out against the cop. I don't agree with the arrest, but only because I'm shocked that you can get arrested on your own property for "disorderly" conduct. Basically, the cop didn't like being talked back to and arrested him. It wasn't a black/white thing though. But regardless, it had nothing to do with the federal government and Obama should have kept his mouth shut. But he ran it, found out that he was the fool, and then had to make something to deflect away from it. That's all this was about. I hope Obama learned to shut the hell up.

Of course, there is nothing the president could do that you would respect, but you should know that this "beer at the White House" idea was suggested by Crowley.
Just wondering, are there foreign leaders you respect more than Obama? Putin perhaps, Chavez, Castro? I'm sure you aren't as hard as them as you are on Obama, at least I haven't seen it.

This is not a put down. But come on, Will, do you genuinely think you're going to knock some sense into someone who describes the situation in the manner that he did? I don't know about you, but I have better things to do with my time than talk to someone who exudes a complete lack of maturity. JMO.

Again you are lying and hoping no one will notice. We notice.

Uhm where is the link? did you leave it out, because this comes from one source A BLOG in feaking new zealand?:doh And reading the article, it's obvious they got it wrong.

Scoop: Connie Lawn’s Blog – Cold Beer at the White House

What little integrity was left in your statements has now been shattered. It is obvious you look for things that fit your lies, not facts that prove accuracy....

Crowley never stated this. you are prevaricating.

If you have any integrity you would retract your nonsensical statement and apologize to the Good Reverend for accusing him of lying based on your obviously fabricated information.

I think we're missing the bigger issue...

Did white house staff ask for Gates and Crowley's credit card to charge them for the beer?

;)

Why? Are you guys waiting for the chance to complain that he spent $10 of tax payer funds to buy a six-pack?

a six pack of bud light is not 10 bucks.

Well it might be if Obama's government is buying it....

If all he was going to do for the great beer summit was spring for one lousy six pack then the proper venue should have been the White House parking lot.

Yeah but there were different beers....so it would have cost more:doh

most liquor stores unless you go to the inner cities, don't like 6 pack mixing and matching...

a six pack of mixed beer would still not cost 10 bucks... You are doing it wrong.

That was a zinger!

So Dear Leader did buy more than one six-pack.

Reverend, apparently Dear Leader purchased more than one six pack. I don't think we can fault him for spending $10.

My question is did he tip the waiter, or did he leave the poor guy hanging?

(No, kaya, it's the morning after, you're cut off, you lush! :2razz:)

hmm. So is our president stating that drinking a case a day is a good thing?

Stimulus, Reverend, stimulus. We're all supposed to do (and consume) our share, remember?

Crowley never stated this. you are prevaricating.

Earlier Thursday, Obama said the chat was prompted by an exchange he had with Crowley, who said in a phone call with Obama, "Maybe I'll have a beer in the White House someday."

Not true, not true at all. He could do alot of things that I could respect. He could begin by dumping liberalism altogether. That I could respect. He could stop with all the socialist dogma stuff. That I could respect. He could keep his mouth shut and not call cops stupid. That I could respect.

There are tons of stuff he could do that I COULD respect. But the reality of the situation is, he isnt going to do any of that, so therefore I cant respect him or his policies b/c I stand in direct contrast to them all.

Its called principles and standards.

Why would I respect Putin, Chavez, or Castro? They all have more in common with Obama then anything else.

You havent seen me slam them that much b/c I only have been around a short period of time. Stick around, I will get to them soon too.

No worries, once we get Obamacare, he is gonna phase out beer cases, right after he takes over Big Beer and fires all the CEO's. Which will be right after he invites them all to the White House for dinner and asks them to pay for it.

. I also think if he's going to dip his wick into local matters, he should have had the decency to include the witness who was simply looking out for her neighbor and is now villified as a racist even though she never identified the men as black. .

That's the part that makes me most upset about this women getting involved and put into the limelight. Even if she did identify the men as black, so what? Gates is black. She would have been doing nothing more than giving valuable information to the dispatcher had it in fact been a break-in. Yet should would have been labeled a racist, simply for providing facts. It's just complete bull****, you know.

It was a joke due to the "made CEO's pay for lunch" thread

Duh!.....you think I missed that?

I'm just enjoying the fact that this is about all you guys have to complain about.

Perhaps you would prefer Reuters?
Obama later telephoned both men and, on Crowley's suggestion, invited the two to the White House for a beer.

There were thousands of hits in my query, I took the first, which was from New Zealand. I have nothing to apologize to the "good reverend" about, since he is once again lying and expecting his ditto-head cult to cheer his "victory". This story was reported on all media, including Fox, last week. By denying it you are demonstrating your ignorance of events and demonstrating your refusal to acknowledge the truth even when it is in your face.

Ah, it just seemed you were confused. You know, because this "guy" in particular didn't complain in the CEO thread, nor complained about this, but simply made a joke.

Sorry, I guess I just misunderstood your stereotyping ;)
