AP sources: Govt to suspend 'cash for clunkers'

Hey this might be the model for UHC. Once they get to single-payor, just suspend payments to providers. Damn docs make too much anyway. :roll:

House OKs Extra $2B on "Cash for Clunkers" - CBS News

Try not to be so dissapointed that people actually like this program, and that Republican lawmakers didn't think of this idea to stimulate the economy.

It's not that we don't like "stimulating" the economy, it's we wonder:

A: If they couldn't fund this properly, all ready 200% over budget... what's that portend for the running of the Nations Healthcare industry?

B: Taking money from one person (The taxpayer) to give to another to buy the "right kinda car" is just... well bass-ackwards

You don't stimulate the economy by handing out $2 billion in Federal money that doesn't exist. I'd think you'd have figured that out by now considering the epic failure of the porkulus bill.
