    Link?

Or is that merely your benighted misinterpretation of things predicated on your ignorance of foreign affairs.

Yeah, and the people who constantly bleat on with this trope need to explain why, if it was a simple matter of will, bin Laden hasn't been captured yet. My God, it's been six months.

    You got that right.
The Soviets knew when to pull out and accept defeat.

You obviously miss the point like most of your partisan friends. He's hesitant to use the word "victory" because he does not want to conjure up images of us taking over Afghanistan. His reasoning: Afghanistan is not our enemy. Al-Qaeda is our enemy. I'm sorry you are struggling to grasp this concept. Keep trying.

Ok....then explain to me WHY one would redirect resources to focus on a Country that had nothing to do with the attack on us?

I'm sorry you share Dear Leader's contempt for people that you fear to use words such as "victory" to describe the proper objectives for our troops.

So you would prefer an appeal to the lowest common denominator to appease people such as yourself with false claims of "mission accomplished"?

Bush believed that Saddam was a destabilizing force in the Middle East, and that once the sanctions regime collapsed he would restart his WMD programs--and the time was right for removing him from power and ending that threat in the Middle East once and for all.

If Victory is not the goal, then what is not victory?

I don't agree with him, but I understand his point of view. You should try viewing things from another perspective some time.
