Or you can be opposed to the whole concept in principle and say so, too.

Oddly, the government creating a lower-cost alternative AS competition IS the crux of the argument that this bill will bring your private premiums down. That's what Obama says.

Are you not paying attention? Or are you criticizing a specific part of the bill, the "government option"? Are you saying Obama is a fool?

Not a dream world. The reason costs aren't even higher is because of competition. Think of it logically. If this private insurance companies are so greedy, if there was only one what do you think they would do? Lower their rates? I don't think so. How can you think that the government will reduce costs and expand coverage at the same time? What dream world do you live in?

    Most likely, he isn't.

What do you think the inalienable right to life means? (let me guess....you think it just means a definition adopted by anti-abortion groups, right?)
If the plan only covered life threatening illness then you may have made an argument but when it covers things like a cold or a broken arm then it has stepped way beyond "life".

Yes I am. Yes, it will bring premiums down with a non-profit arm. Are you not paying attention? What the poster implies is that, without the government, the free market can regulate it's own competition and therefore lower prices through competition. It hasn't done so and those health insurance companies deserve to lose customers due to their negligence to their customers. Sorry dude, I know it's hard to keep up, but try.

Now, you're contradicting yourself by saying Obama's version of market competition will work.

    See, I am keeping up.
