I fully support this mall owners decision to close this business.

It's private property, and the mall is free to not allow any establishment it disagrees with.

HOWEVER, I think it's asinine and the chick that wrote that Letter to the Editor should get smacked by a bus.

I for one now have a new Christmas Shopping site however.
Climate, changes. It takes a particularly uneducated population to buy into the idea that it's their fault climate is changing and further political solutions can fix it.

At least you're being honest about your beliefs now

"Free Market Warrior, a kiosk located adjacent to Bass Pro Shops, specializes in memorabilia embellished with pro-confederacy statements as well as those opposing both the government and President Obama. In addition, these products support ideas such as racisms, sexism, and even slavery.

Re: Conservative kiosk not allowed at mall

Would bumper stickers calling the president a punk-ass be fine? Or insinuating they're a "crackhead" or a drug abuser? Calling the President a thief? How about just good old "****" the president. Calling him "evil"? Suggesting his birth was a "random mutation"? Comparing him to Molosovic? Claims that the a news outlet is "the voice of Satan"? Calling the President a Criminal? Ones implying the War on Terror is terrosism? How about calling for "regime change" outside of election season? How about claiming the President is a "War Criminal"? What about propping up trumped up conspiracy BS like the AWOL story (for reference, would a bumper stick about "Kenyan in Chief" be too far?)?

What exactly is pushing it too far that it becomes distasteful...because all those things above are easily found on websites, kiosks, and other such things all over the place now and the past 8 years.

First, I applaud Mc.No.Spin. He's not beng outraged at this mall and saying they shouldn't be able to do this or anything of the sort...he's saying people should respond to this private businesses choice through their own choices.

Second, if at any point (or currently) the mall allowed Kiosks or Spensers or such things that had derogatory bumper stickers, shirts, pins, etc about George Bush or Dick Cheney but stopped this one then I'd be completely and fully for the boycott. If you don't want insulting political items sold in your mall...so be it. If you don't want insulting political items targetting your guy sold in your mall...then I will take my money elsewhere.

The mall definitely should be free to make this choice. And people definitely should send their own message, both in standard communication and with their wallets, that they won't stand for double standards on political speech.

If that turns out to be the case, the operator of this kiosk has grounds for a nice little discrimination lawsuit.

Yep, this store has the right to ban stuff it doesn't like, and people have the right to protest or support this store for what they do.

    1) No he doesn't. The question goes to standards, and whether the kiosk violated them.

    2) However, the people DO have grounds for not shopping there. THIS is where the battle should be fought. Spread the word - Do not shop at this mall. The owner of the mall can then decide how much his standards are actually worth.

    That's all that needs saying.

People that don't like it, don't have to shop there.

Why would, why should people protest such intellectualy retarded statements as were being presented on these bumper stickers? I mean really the comments on these stickers were shallow devoid of any depth.
