My Way News - White House putting off release of budget update

The White House is being forced to acknowledge the wide gap between its once-upbeat predictions about the economy and today's bleak landscape.

The administration's annual midsummer budget update is sure to show higher deficits and unemployment and slower growth than projected in President Barack Obama's budget in February and update in May, and that could complicate his efforts to get his signature health care and global-warming proposals through Congress.


The release of the update - usually scheduled for mid-July - has been put off until the middle of next month, giving rise to speculation the White House is delaying the bad news at least until Congress leaves town on its August 7 summer recess.

Now we see the need for speed with all of his budget-busting ideas. He needed to get them passed before the reality check bounced.

This statement I believe is incorrect: "speculation the White House is delaying the bad news at least until Congress leaves town on its August 7 summer recess."

They are delaying it until AFTER Obama gets his vote for the biggest boondoggle this country has ever seen; Government "managed" (Oxymoron) healthcare.

You gotta love this new transparency they promised us eh?
 
My God, you people are just salivating over the possibility that the new administration, the Democrats and Congress will all fail in their efforts to rebuild America, and that the nation will enter a dark period of depression and decline allowing you to say "I told you so". I find that extremely creepy. Even during the worst years of the Bush administration, even Democrats and liberals wanted the country to succeed, but you want it to fail. Does it occur to you that the only other people hoping for the failure of America are jihadists, the Taliban, AlQaeda and Muslim radicals?

No, I'm hoping like all get-out that Dear Leader and his Anti-American/Anti-Republican mistresses in the Congress will fail in their efforts to destroy America.

Rebuilding America would mean passing a "stimulus" bill that actually invested in infrastructure. Dear Leader did not do that. Dear Leader supplicated to Queen Nancy and obligingly said "yes, Mistress" when she handed him the Mother Of All Pork bills.

Rebuilding America would mean not doubling and tripling the federal debt. Dear Leader's goal is to do exactly that.

Rebuilding America would mean not taking Taxachusetts budget-busting healthcare system, Commonwealth Care, and replicating its fiscal fecklessness nationwide. Dear Leader and his Congressional Cronies, particularly Henry Taxman and Chris Dudd, are determined to do exactly that. They have this fetish for red ink that borders on the pathological.

Since Dear Leader has no interest in doing anything that qualifies as "good" for this country, damn skippy I'm excited over the prospect of him failing. The sooner and farther he falls, the better off this country will be.

Firstly, Conservatives are NOT hoping the nation OR Congress will fail. We are watching it actually fail miserably and merely describing that REALITY; we are wallowing in a sea of RED ink without one HONEST discussion about how we will pay for it with MORE to come. This is what NORMAL people would call INSANE.

We are currently spending $100 MILLION per day to pay the interest on the National debt and this is before all this new spending without revenue being done.

Secondly, the notion that Democrats didn't wish for Bush's failure requires willful denial or pure unadulterated lying. Which is it for you? For eight years we had a never ending diatribe about how bad the deficit was, how we had failed and how the Feds failed the Liberal run City of New Orleans which failed its citizens and continues to do so.

During Bush’s Presidency, hardly a day went by where we were not blathered with the terrorist propaganda of a Liberal media desperate to claim Bush's Iraq efforts had failed and we had lost even before the fight was over. They claimed the surge was a failure before the surge even began.

Now I must say that based on yours and other Liberals partisan BS we are treated to daily on this forum, I am hardly surprised that the FACTS and REALITY would have nothing to do with your hyperbolic BS, but please, at least attempt some level of credible intelligent discourse versus this outright laughable partisan babble.

What "rediculous policies were they? The aids relief programs supported by Democrats for Africa? The Medicare drug reform act sponsored and supported by Democrats? Was it the No Child Left behind program supported and co-sponsored by Democrats?

Though I don't know the reason for Obama's delay this isn't exactly surprising as we saw the same delay in 2001 in Bush's first year and also in 1993 in Clinton's first year.

Delaying budget updates the first year a President takes office seems tradition.
