I wrote things that could consider me "catholic" to my parents, yet I was agnostic by all means.

You can interpret all you want, but that doesn't mean they thought what they did in reality.

Back then, there wasn't much to go by other than their writings. I can understand that.

    But interpretation doesn't mean fact.

It's not interpretation. Jefferson's writings are VERY explicit.

Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false, and does not swear deceitfully. Psalm 24

    According to YOU.

Can you show me your credentials in writing literature?

Oh wait, you're an internet enthusiast, I'm sure you are an expert right?

This is what you call an ad hominem attack. It is a logical fallacy.

If you can't figure out what Jefferson believes, you must have some kind of learning disability (or you only read at a 3rd grade level). I mean that in all seriousness.

You claim logical fallacy against me, but that first means that you know for SURE what Jefferson believes. I wasn't aware you knew Jefferson personally so how can you say FOR SURE what he believes or doesn't believe in?

    Are you done now?

Btw, I haven't seen you in a while in this thread.

And would Jefferson had said the same thing while seeing children dying from hunger or lack of health care in the richest country in the world? If you say yes, then you think he's a ****ing bastard.

I wonder what Jefferson would think if I showed him the obesity rates for Americans, or told him that millions of people make a conscious decision not to purchase health insurance, or if I told him we subsidized health care for illegal immigrants?

Jefferson would probably tell Americans to stop living such ****ty and irresponsible lifestyles and to stop expecting the massive centralized authority (we all know how much Jefferson loved those) to provide health care for them.

You see, unlike Barack Obama, Thomas Jefferson was a principled bastard who told people how it really was. Thomas Jefferson would laugh at the idea of nationalized health care and he would spit on Barack Obama.

Of course, being the quintessential anti-Federalist, Jefferson seems like a natural supporter for nationalized health care. You make great points!

I don't think you are qualified to dictate who Thomas Jefferson would spit on.

You gotta be ****ing kidding me.

Where is this happening, please I'd like to know?
I was discovering that life just simply isn't fair and bask in the unsung glory of knowing that each obstacle overcome along the way only adds to the satisfaction in the end. Nothing great, after all, was ever accomplished by anyone sulking in his or her misery.
