French workers threaten factory for payouts (Lazy Americans, this is how you do it)

French workers threaten to blow up factory | Industries | Consumer Goods & Retail | Reuters

Workers at collapsed French car parts maker New Fabris threatened on Sunday to blow up their factory if they did not receive payouts by July 31 from auto groups Renault and Peugeot to compensate for their lost jobs.

New Fabris was declared in liquidation in April, so the workers stand to get no redundancy money, although they are entitled to draw state unemployment benefit.
What can I say? At least the French still have their balls. Here in America, Goldman Sachs and the major financial institutions basically pulled the same scam with Congress and robbed the American people of trillions. And what was the reaction at home in America? Nothing, absolutely nothing. Americans are pathetic and deserve absolutely no respect.

Perhaps if French workers spent more time working and less time rioting over working too much, the factory would be able to generate enough revenue to stay open...

No, Goldman Sachs did under the cover of the Bush administration.

And it was a lot more than mere "millions" boy, it was hundreds of billions up front, with Goldman standing to earn trillions over the future because of this perverse relationship between banks and government.

Tell me, what would it take for you to get your rifle out and start fighting back?

French workers/unionists are really hardcore when it comes to stuff like this. Although it should be noted that "holding hostage" in this instance basically amounts to being locked in their office.
"I do not claim that every incident in the history of empire can be explained in directly economic terms. Economic interests are filtered through a political process, policies are implemented by a complex state apparatus, and the whole system generates its own momentum."

Actually I like Honduras did it when one of their politicians attempted to commit treason, they exiled his ass without a penny to his name.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

You would have to convince me that armed revolution had a chance of working.

What would it take to convince you to make a lot of money and see your ideals become action with your dollars?

    I can understand that.

Goldman Sachs and the various insolvent Wall Street firms would have to be allowed to fail. That would signal some serious change, in my opinion.

I agree. Not an answer to my question though.
