I didn't see many personnal attacks at all. After all no falaceously called her a community organizer or that she was a pal to an Alaska Separatist. And no one accused her of wearing lipstick.
I'm not talking about legitimate criticisms about Palin. I'm talking about the plethora of lame personal jabs aimed at her just because people don't happen to agree with her or like her politics. I think that anyone who has to create thread after thread about the woman and resort to nothing but lame insults and personal attacks obviously feels threatened in some way. If you want her to go away, it would probably help to stop bringing her up.

...And this is why no one takes you seriously. It's clear that you have little understanding of what a "theory" is in the scientific realm.

Theory - 1: the analysis of a set of facts in their relation to one another. 2: the general or abstract principles of a body of fact, a science, or an art.

Yes a theory is derived from facts..but it does not make the theory fact.

IE "Global Warming"...now called "Climate Change."
Why is it changed?..because the THEORY was discredited by the fact that the earth is actually Cooling.

    .............

Someone can have a theory that the fact that he expels gas that can be lit means he can propel himself by lighting off his own farts.

You know that won't work..but the theory is applying your definition.

    Good for her!
Love her or Hate her she has the reins now.

One of the only real faces in US politics that people can believe..hopefully even if she isn't personally propelled to President or whatnot..she will help set a tone that will change US politics from the hate based politics of Obama to the politics of 30 years ago .
She should have finished her term first. Because now she will be branded as a quitter, someone who quits when the going gets tough, or quits when something better comes along(like leaving office to pursue bigger goals).
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

Who wants her to go away? Sarah Palin is the most polarizing figure out there. Any hope for a reunification of the Republican party is nil as long as we keep her in the spotlight.

Who decides which criticisms are legitimate? If it's Triad, he considers her a goddess and worships at her feet, suckling on her little toes. He would tolerate no criticism of the Sarahlicious.

Well, obviously there are extremists on both sides of this. I'm just saying that a fair amount of the criticisms that I've seen against Palin have been childish personal attacks. Some people were doing the same against Obama too. It's hard to have a constructive debate when people get so emotionally involved that they feel the need to attack people personally because they don't see eye to eye on political issues.

I agree. A lot of the personal attacks on Sarah Palin have been unwarranted and pretty despicable. However, attempting to shut down ALL criticism of here, particularly when there are plenty of conservatives who find her troubling on a number of levels, is pretty disingenuous. And, I've definitely seen conservatives do it on this thread.
