    N. Korea 'Seriously Interested' in Releasing U.S. Journalists

SEOUL, South Korea North Korea is "seriously interested" in releasing two convicted American journalists but first wants the United States to acknowledge what Pyongyang sees as their "hostile acts," a U.S.-based scholar who visited Pyongyang said Saturday
Shouldn't be a problem with President Opology. He likes blaming the USA for bad things..plus it will get him some camera time.

Kim is spinning Obama like a top and it can't be argued he's suffering anything of value for it.

Hope they get released but not at the cost of what they ask.

    updated 1:14 p.m. EDT, Sat July 11, 2009

A plea for amnesty implies forgiveness for some offense.

Looks like they are getting what they want.

I find it stunning that you lot find the idea of obama apologising so outrageous. As if even surgesting that the United States, may, at some time have done something wrong is somehow blasphemous

No way should the US agree to any demand/requirement that NK wants in return for releasing these persons.

They should simply release them. Nothing more, nothing less.

Right now North Korea can push this and gain more. Whether they will or not I dunno.
But within a day they had the Secretary of State of the USA saying "everyone is sorry" and changing policy.
