But damn that liberal mindset and all.
you know damn well conservatives don't support people dying in the streets.

If you are going to dumb down a conversation to such extremes, don't be surprised when it is reciprocated

If they don't support people dying on the streets, then they don't oppose social programs to help people from dying on the streets.

We support voluntary social programs. Food banks, churches, and extended families taking care of each other.

The point you missed is that you apparently don't think enough people will willingly help a fellow man that you just force it upon everyone. Apparently you know so much, yet have so little respect for your fellow man, that you find it ok to force them to see things your way.

Completely agree. The right thinks all those people have boot straps to pull up, now don't they?

Take a look around. You're damn right I have very little faith in my fellow man.

Here's a good example. Congress is supposed to work for the people right? Does it? No. Does the president? No.

Are corporations concerned about their fellow man? Nope, they are concerned with what can pass legally while they make a profit and skirt that line as closely as they can. If it helps man and they make a profit, they consider that good. But profits are what concerns them.

Is the media, left or right concerned about man? No, they are concerned about viewers and how to get them.

You're absolutely right I have very little faith in man in this day and age.

    Next question?

EDIT: I think if there was a snowballs chance in hell of corporations overturning every employees right's bill that has ever been passed, we would have underage under min wage people working in a feudal system right now.

This is the best part though.

you have so little faith in people that you allow the government to possess more and more power. Now remind me again who is responsible to rein in the government and make sure they actually use this power wisely.

The logical fallacy of your entire world outlook would be hilarious if it wasn't so amazing stupid and damaging.

I'm not crying, I'm pointing out why your position is asinine.

    1) people can't be trusted to do the right thing. They are either stupid or monsters

    2) To solve this, we allow government to make people do the right thing

    3) Please ignore #1 as it relates to #2

Sorry but yes, I have a problem with people not doing the right thing for the right reasons. Instead they need a government telling them at times what is right or wrong via regulations.

We have regulations to tell companies they can't work minors 40 hours a week.

We have regulations saying we can't have corporations testing on children or other people.

    Wake up!

We have regulations saying you can't have sex with 10 year olds.

Yes, we have regulations. You're world, is that there are no government regulations and the people do what they are supposed to. That is Utopia and a fantasy world.

In my world, regulations need to be scoped properly. We surely don't need federal regulations dealing with these issues any more then we need to go invade Mexico and force them to do "the right thing".
