Saudis give nod to Israeli raid on Iran - Times Online

The head of Mossad, Israel’s overseas intelligence service, has assured Benjamin Netanyahu, its prime minister, that Saudi Arabia would turn a blind eye to Israeli jets flying over the kingdom during any future raid on Iran’s nuclear sites.

Earlier this year Meir Dagan, Mossad’s director since 2002, held secret talks with Saudi officials to discuss the possibility.

The Israeli press has already carried unconfirmed reports that high-ranking officials, including Ehud Olmert, the former prime minister, held meetings with Saudi colleagues. The reports were denied by Saudi officials.

“The Saudis have tacitly agreed to the Israeli air force flying through their airspace on a mission which is supposed to be in the common interests of both Israel and Saudi Arabia,” a diplomatic source said last week.

Although the countries have no formal diplomatic relations, an Israeli defence source confirmed that Mossad maintained “working relations” with the Saudis

Is this a signal that a request for permission was made by Israel to allow for a pending air strike or a way to say to Israel that it's okay by the Saudis if an air strike is in the works?
It is no secret that the Saudis have no love for Iran.
If an attack does take place will Obama who has seemed to many to favor Islamic countries over Israel come down hard on the Israels, take a wait and see approach, or threaten the Israels with some sort of sanction?
Your guess is as good as any. Obama is a total amateur in foreign relations and has shown himself be completely naive in such matters thus far. He has in my book bent over backwards to appease many a rouge nation or their leaders so far.
Maybe the bigger question needs to be what might such an attack lead to on a world wide basis?

Their is already a thread in the Middle East Forum about this subject

This looks pretty credible. It also doesn't seem like knew policy, similar to bombing Saddam's nuke plant.
