Who is going to pay for it since you don't want coverage? Answer that please.
Well giving the government $1000 isn't going to cover it. So I guess the hospital eats the cost just like they always do with uninsured.

This is just a cashscam by the government, nothing more.

Well I am not against the idea of UHC, I just don't think it should be implemented at this time due to the debt we have.

Secondly though, I am absolutely against any sort of fine being given out to people who refuse to go on it.

One of the main arguments to allow UHC, is to let people that don't want it not have to go on it.

If they are being forced to go on it because they can't afford a fine, then I am against this UHC plan.

It's the taxpayer that "eats the cost" one way or the other. If you refuse to contribute to the health care system but still use hospitals when you need them, $1000 a year (it is a yearly fine) is the very least you can contribute.

What about those on other health care plans that pay into those instead of UHC?

Why should they be fined because they use a different health care provider?

I don't think they are. Show otherwise.

Who will pay your hospital bill if someone (God forbid) attacks you with an axe handle and you don't have insurance. I'm still waiting for your answer.

Well under this "genius" plan, why bother even having health insurance? Just pay a yearly fine of $1000 and you are good to go. That sounds like great business for everybody. If we can bankrupt the hospitals and insurance companies, that means we can have even more stimulus and bailouts. Yippie....

Health care costs more than that, as you know. Or maybe you don't. Does your employer pay your health care? I pay my own for my family. It costs about $15,000 a year. I would appreciate a lower cost alternative, especially as we are rarely sick.
