You mean between you, your doctor, the insurance companies, and any other financial or procedural people in between?

The government doesn't need to know the details of your visit. Just the cost involved and the overall category of care given.

Employer's aren't forced to provide employee's with health care. Though this bill may do this for large companies if passed in it's current form.

Medicare and Social Security should be eliminated entirely. Especially Social Security.

It's a hell of a lot worse than recorded phone calls, every day of the week.
I am always going to pay health care for some people. Those on welfare and unemployment will get tax payer funded health care. Hell government employee's get tax payer funded health care.

The health care provision free market is strangled into submission by insurance companies. Until the inflated prices of health care procedures is brought down we are forced dependency on the sole group that inflated the prices in the first place so we would become dependent on them.

There needs to be another alternative. The problem is it seems the government is the only one capable of providing that since any other private companies doing it would be annihilated by the insurance companies.

They can get Health Care from an existing company the government does not need to force everyone into theirs.

Besides what is this going to do for jobs? A government Health Care that everyone is required to have, and that is putting a monopoly on the business will put thousands out of work. Think of all the employees that work for existing Health Care companies. They will all be without a job, Barry needs to think this through more.

It was sarcasm people. And I was laying it on pretty thick.

Yeah, so where are all those folks that screamed about their lost "rights" under the Patriot Act at now? Freedom? Not in the USSA...
This is why the system will get flooded just like Canada's and every other place that has socialized medicine. You force people to pay for it they are going to use it to get their money's worth and if you hand out it out to others for free they are going to use it because everyone else is.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

Ok, all you "patriots" who don't want medical coverage and are outraged by the idea of a fine. Who will pay the bill when your son falls out of a tree and breaks his leg? You? You have $50,000 sitting around for emergencies? Suppose you have a heart attack and need emergency bypass surgery. You have any idea what that costs? Who is going to pay for it since you don't want coverage? Answer that please.

I will, yes I have the money. Do you value freedom or power more?
