^^Because we're more skilled and do more work.

    Because we do better work.

    Because we do better work.

    Because we do better work.

Notice a pattern to these answers?

Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false, and does not swear deceitfully. Psalm 24

Is that so? India is proving just as proficient at making software and better at filling call centers. China is superior at producing basic cheap goods in bulk. Japan and Europe are vastly superior at producing automobiles. It seems to me that we're destined to be a third world country, and it seems to me that you think that's a good idea, you know, if the market says so.

How trite; yet you never stopped bitching about Bush for 8 years. Do you see the irony in your remarks?

I guess it never occurs to you that Goobie has a GOOD reason to bitch about this idiot; he has spent us into a $1.8 trillion deficit with more to come, wont be honest about how he plans to pay for it all and during his campaign rhetoric spiels, he claimed his policies would create 5,000,000 new jobs. Well here we are in July and the economy sucks even worse and we have lost another 3,000,000 since his term began.

And you want to defend this?

The only thing more pathetic is when Libruls complained about Bush spending us into a deficit of $200 billion while defending their guy’s $1.8 trillion deficit. Or how about complaining about Bush's failure to create jobs with a 5% unemployment rate for most of his presidency and then defending their guy's 9.5% rate. You can’t find a more transparent arguments than that.

    Carry on.

Where do you think a LOT of European and Japanese cars are being made these days? That's right, right here in the good old USA.

But hey, give Obama more time and they will be looking elswhere to make them. The way we are headed, we wont have a skilled and educated work force capable of producing aircraft and cars.

Oh really? Which has a better record of reliability, Toyota or Chevrolet?

Too many jobs are being lost because Obama's ideas aren't working and are probably making things worse. His New Deal Part II is just as much a failure as the FDR's was.

This graph shows unemployment where it is, where it would be if we let the economy recover on it's on and where PBO told us it would be, if we passed the desperately needed Stealfromus Package.

    Ever heard of anecdotal evidence?

Listen, our history has been that we have been the best at producing things. We were the largest industrial center in the world. We could out produce everyone else. This is why we were the most prosperous. What you're talking about is trends and I completely agree with you that our lead is slipping. This is due to government intervention that has shifted focus away from manufacturing which is what the economy would naturally be focused on towards finance which is a phony economy. I want this country to be the best in the world but that is only possible via production and the government cannot and has not helped that cause.

The jobs WILL come back and the economy WILL recover; it just takes TIME for the free market to self-correct, that is, if we allow it to, which we're not.
It also requires the government to do something. Create conditions for job creation... like slashing taxes and regulation.

But, alas... they'd rather protect something they can't, and manage the money better left in hands of private individuals... to invest/risk... to make more evil profit.

It's sad, but this lesson has to be learned again. Government is the problem... not the solution, and the pursuit of wealth (and keeping it to do as YOU wish) is not just good but great... it's not for the government to "equalize" through their ridiculous actions. What's saddest is the average guy gets it in the teeth with Obama & Co.'s twisted policies... the exact people they claim they want to "help".

That's right, they're outsourcing to us. And where do you outsource to? To places where workers are willing to do anything for next to nothing. And that's right here, the good ol' USA.
