Mousavi's policies and stance may not be that different from Ahmadinejad but the Fars agency accusations are pretty serious. First there appears to be a stolen election and now they are painting the defeated rival as an enemy of the state.

All too grim a reminder of some of George Orwell's prophetic writing in 1984.
    Point well made.

Re: Iran 'disqualifies' EU from talks

Maj Gen Hassan Firouzabadi, Iran's chief of staff, accused the EU of "interference" in riots which followed June's disputed presidential elections.

I'm confused. I thought the CIA was behind the protests, no wait a minute it was others in the U.S. using the web to interfere in Iran's internal affairs.

I would say that I have generally been nonviolent since I stopped playing football and avoid physical confrontations when ever possible and seldom advocate the use of violence except when it is absolutely necessary for self defense or to prevent massive wide spread loss of life. Therefore I wonder once again how it that in the past few weeks there have been two major airline crashes into the Oceans with no survivors and with the cause of the crashes a mystery, and people like Ahmadinejad and Hugo Chavez can fly over the Atlantic and some how their planes never go down. Nudge, nudge say no more know what I mean? Huh nudge, nudge.
I can almost see or here the reports now.
Ahmadinejad feared killed along with his entire staff as Presidential plane mysteriously vanishes over the Ocean.
Reports are still sketchy but here's what we have so far. All communications were lost as the Iranian presidents plane disappeared as it neared the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. There were no call indicating any mechanical difficulties and no emergency calls were received. The location means that there was no radar tracking the plane at the time of it's disappearance.
A search will be conducted at first light. More news at it becomes available.

Now this could happen and it might be caused by a bomb on board or golly who knows what happened.

Accidents do happen. Nudge nudge, say no more know what I mean. .

Russia doesnt have what it takes anymore to threaten the West and manipulate the West with such threats to establish a stronger presence in there "sphere of influence" by keeping us Westeners out. They like keeping Westeners at bay, so now, a bit like there Soviet past (Cuba), they are using proxy countries to do it. Making them know we can do whatever we like, despite if the US likes it or not. Thats there little game to show they still have some muscle left. So when we go building nucleur defence shields in Europe, they are up in arms. Cause they know arming Iran just bit them in the bum.
