The first shooting happened around 8:20 p.m. Friday, when Tijuan Edwards, 18, was talking to a 25-year-old man in the street at 1916 S. Trumbull Ave. when multiple gunmen approached on foot and shot both men. Edwards was dead on the scene, and the 25-year-old was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with gunshot wounds to the left arm, chin and thigh, police said....

What sort of effect should this story have on any potential ruling from the SCotUS regarding the constitutionalality of Chicago's ban on guns?

It should not have any effect on any ruling on gun control.

I am not really a country person, but there are some things about living in the country I enjoy. I don't think I have locked my house up in years, nor has any one in the area. It is so nice not worrying that you might have forgotten to do something like that.
 
The story left out how many wounded.

And in turn transfer power to a group of others to safeguard them. Or that's how it is supposed to work. Why sell your safety to a city when you can pack a really kick ass 6 shooter and give it a bitchin name. Like Susy.
 
I don't believe six deaths, no matter what the cause or speculation, should factor into the judicial courts; as I have said many times before and will continue to say here: Lady Justice is not blind out of a misguided sense of creative license, she is blind because she honestly has no empathy but the scales she holds.
 
You've got to be kidding me.

It's going to take at LEAST 15 deaths in 24 hours before the courts even consider it.
