    Look at the Christian population.
Under Saddam they flourished, US and UK come in (ironically both Christian majority countries) and Christians are decimated

They might be able to do it. They're certainly more proficient combat soldiers than any other country we've helped, but if they're overwhelmed, you can look forward to US grunts hitting the ground on the peninsula.

And maybe a few Chinese grunts too.

I think the Chinese will force themselves to play a major role so they can take lead over what becomes of Korea after the war.

Now that sounds very likely. However, if NK does not actually start the conflict, China may well indeed be on the DPRK's side.

Maybe. Maybe not. What with China holding all the US paper, I think a war with us is the last thing they want. If we get into a slug fest with the Chi-coms, they'll be burning all that paper to keep warm at the Chosin Resevoir.

I give you 2-4 years before The Obama re-commits troops, His supporters start yelling and screaming that re-committing troops is the right thing to do, and they all blame Bush for the timetable that pulled the troops out too early.

    Any takers?

    Hahah.
If US/Obama/The President at that time is stupid enough to risk its soldiers again if Iraq goes to the dump. Then good for it, but i suggest looking to France for backup this time.

Iraq would be stable for the following years, no doubt about that.
