Re: Obama spokesman says president believes Michael Jackson was a musical icon

I don't think Obama defended pedophilia or Michael Jackson's little boy fetish by making the neutral statement that he was a musical icon, at all.

I recognize that MJ was a musical icon but I also recognize that he was complete and total X-files grade freak, a bleached out child bugger who should never be alone with anyone between the ages of 5 and 12 (because face it, the threshhold of teen-age was past his interests), and that paying an undisclosed amount of money to several families is not admission of guilt but it sure as hell ain't a vindication.

So, yeah, the president stayed pretty neutral and didn't engage in tabloid statements with that one.

As for his conspicuously absent rhetoric on Iran...well that was annoying. I'm glad he finally said something but I do wish it had been a little quicker. I hope he's not finished, either. Brittain has already cut diplomatic ties by mutual expulsion of diplomats. I would hope our response would be equally explicit.

I agree on both counts. Obama's comments had nothing to do with any accusations towards Michael, nor did they support him in regards to them. It is ridiculous to think otherwise, and it is amazing that anyone would make the association.

And Obama should be stronger with Iran, considering the heinous acts their government is committing.

Everyone and their cousins brothers sister knows that we are not going to expel any Iranian diplomats or cut what little ties we have with them. Obama is trying to initiate some sort of dialogue with them, he isn't going to cut ties over this. And I hope he doesn't.

It is terrible what Ahmadinajihad is doing to the Iranian people, but it is none of our business. We have no business endorsing a candidate, nor a political party there. And we have no reason to meddle in the backlash, which was of course expected. Iran would have been better off canceling the election.

Why not, he supports clubbing babies after failed abortions.
