Obama: World 'appalled' by Iran violence

Obama: World 'appalled' by Iran violence

"We have seen courageous women stand up to brutality and threats, and we have experienced the searing image of a woman bleeding to death on the streets," Obama said. "While this loss is raw and painful, we also know this: Those who stand up for justice are always on the right side of history."
He is getting closer to the right tone. Hopefully the window for his eloquence to matter has not already closed.

I think he is doing it correctly.
He gradually increases his support for the protesters and against the Iranian regime.

So what side of history is The Messiah on, since he's done nothing except stand on the fence?

I was much more impressed with the terror color alert chart than Obama's "concerned" to "appalled" Iranian response chart.

He needs to pick up the pace. He's getting there but he's still speaking to last week.

And hope like hell the Iranians will oblige him by continuing to protest and strike.

I have been out and about most of the morning....have not yet seen any good confirmation if the strike called for today went off as planned and how widespread it was.

He's on the sideline of history.

Hopefully he won't end up just a footnote in history.

I think the best possible place for The Messiah is a footnote.

The probability is that the Democrat's Messiah is either a Neville Chamberlain or a President Petain.

Chamberlain is a strong possibility. Petain isn't. Dear Leader is inept at foreign policy, but he's not a traitor.

Seems to me........ in the same press conference....... the Republican front organization (Fox News) asked President Obama (in re his condemnation the Iranian government violence) "what took you so long?" & (words to the effect) "Aren't you afraid that your strong condemnation will make the U.S. a more legitimate target for the Iranian government to try to blame for the riots?" (damned if you do....Damned if you don't)

In other words, the Disloyal opposition is out again trying to score political points instead of being patriotic Americans & we voters aren't quite as stupid as they think, not to see through their normal un-American BS!

Re: Obama: World 'appalled' by Iran violence

Iran and the world is sick to death of the US acting in a reactionary way. Who appointed us the busybody for justice in the world?

This is an Iranian problem and no matter how it turns out we will have to deal with whomever ends up in charge. There is a good chance that this uprising will fail. What would our meddling do to any future negotiations?

There is also a chance that this could lead to major reforms or even a change in leadership, how legitimate does it look to the average Iranian if it has our fingerprints all over it? No one in Iran wants us involved and they couldn't care less what our President thinks about it.

This is Iran's problem, Iran should handle it. Unless the opposition leaders plainly ask for our help or even our moral support we should stay out of it. The Iran of the future will be easier to deal with if just this once we stay out of their business.
