So, can we make any correlations based on these findings? Looks to me like the cities with the most anti-gun laws are the ones with the most violent neighborhoods in this country.

    Gee.

Though I am perplexed about the Texas neighborhoods... I wonder if they're predominantly immigrant or some other abnormality.

Exactly which one of those cities makes it difficult for law abiding citizens to purchase guns? Florida has four on that list, two in the top ten, and getting guns is pretty easy both legally and illegally. I lived there for 30 years up until last Dec. and the rate of gun ownership has to be in 70% range.

The gun laws which restrict law abiding ownership of guns are directly affecting the rise in violent crime.

Statistics show that the more restrictive a "place" becomes in regards to citizen's own ability to protect themselves... violent crime and crime in general surges.

Therefore, it's my reasoning and belief that gun control laws which restrict law abiding owners (forget the fact that it's unconstitutional)... directly cause violence upon the citizenry they disarm.

There were a few I was perplexed with... I'll be the first to admit that.

But take a look at ****CAGO's gun laws... Take a look at NYC's gun laws...

You'll realize where I'm going with this.

Again, this goes to prove that liars figure and figures lie.
And what good does this do , all these stats...???
Gun control... ?? yes...for the law abiding citizen...for the criminal ??

I do know that intolerance, fear, ignorance are contributing factors..
Our schools can be improved - much more money is needed, class sizes are too large..
    Our nations health ???
    I do not know..
We do need people to take to the streets, to regain their neighborhoods.
    We must de-criminalize marijuana.

I was tracking with you just fine until the last sentence there. We do just fine on the American-born violence, dude. In fact, none of the neighborhoods listed are areas with heavy immigrant populations, just FYI.

The gun laws themselves are not causing more violence. It would be weird for anyone to make a claim like that. The laws take guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens, leaving them unarmed. Malcontents know this hence higher rates of violent crime.

This argument has been put forth many, many times on this forum.

Yeah, then I don't understand the Texas / Florida neighborhoods.

Maybe those people in those neighborhoods just need to get laid more often. :P

What it chiefly proves is that when you combine unusually high population density with poverty and drugs, you get lots of violent crime... gosh, what a shock

I would take it as evidence that lawful citizens living in big cities need guns for protection against criminals even more than rural folks... just that for some reason too many of their overlords think otherwise.

Not one from California? We must be doing something wrong.

There are areas in Chicago that even the police are afraid to go. They are all two man cars and they are not listed on there. Chicago is trying to create anti gun laws a little too late.
