    Couple of things:

    1. The post you quoted of mine reads in its entirety:

Just because a woman won't flash her goodies at you or look at your ugly mug doesn't mean she's being oppressed. It means your pickup lines need some work.
"By stick, whip or any other instrument that takes fancy" is your contribution.

    2. WTF??????

You are making no sense at all.

They are IN FRANCE, they CHOOSE to wear them, they are not oppressed to wear them there.

Actually, I'm not confused....you are. France is seeking to ban the burqa, not Iran.

Are they banning nun habits too?

    No?

Then, no, they have no legitimate reason to discriminate against Muslim women. What a bunch of pompass french twats.

Re: France considers banning the burqa

While from my perspective, I have a hard time imagaining a woman CHOOSING to wear a Burqa, it is not impossible.

I speak here NOT of a woman who, as a member of the Islamic faith, is instructed by some sect of said faith to wear the aforementioned clothing item.

Instead, I speak of a woman who chooses, firstly, to be a member of Islam, and, secondly, to wear a Burqa in accordance with the teachings of some sect of Islam.

Now, this is, I will admit, unlikely, as the very act of choosing is in many areas (in most cases those which also require the wearing of Burqas) frowned upon when it is a woman doing the choosing.

    But not impossible.
    Education.

    Only in free countries.

    France isn't a free country.

Re: France considers banning the burqa

Who can even argue that this isn't a fundamental violation of ones unalienable right to freedom of religion? France already banned the Burqa in schools, that alone was fascist to the core. And now this? We're not talking about I.D. pictures here. Simply unconscionable.

The Burka has nothing to do with Islam and hence it is not infringing anyone's religious rights.

Sure I guess that's why the only women who wear them are Muslim short of Mary circa 1 AD.
