ACLU, Ron Paul’s Campaign for Liberty sue TSA over ‘illegal’ detention

If you dont know, Steve Bierfeldt a treasure for the Campaign for Liberty was detained a couple months ago at a St. Louis airport for having large sums of money and that the conversation between Bierfeldt and TSA was taped. Now the ACLU has joined with the Campaign for Liberty in a lawsuit against TSA.

The American Civil Liberties Union may have just earned itself a few more Republican admirers.

Announcing a lawsuit against the Transportation Security Administration for the “illegal” detention of the Campaign for Liberty’s treasurer in April at a St. Louis airport, the ACLU damned what it called a “troubling pattern” of aggressive invasions of privacy by the TSA.

Can't believe I missed this thread. This should concern everyone greatly. TSA has a limited scope of duties, that they should not exceed. I travel regularly, and some of these folks aren't that intelligent. I guess I should feel lucky I haven't had this happen to me yet.

    Good for the ACLU.
