What is most intriguing is that, other than the reports of Basiji violence, the Revolutionary Guard has been extraordinarily passive, especially in the past few days.

Has Khameni lost confidence in the loyalty of the Revolutionary Guard?

If he has, does he still have the political clout to squelch this uprising?

How about the USA back the will of the people to be free...

Oh that's right the "talks" are whats important.
The ayatollah said Mr Ahmadinejad's views on foreign affairs and social issues were closer to his than those of the other candidates.

    ....

    Its a significant event.

Up til now its been about Mouzavi vs Ahmnutkabob

If the protestors continue it is them vs the State and the Supreme Leader.

The Ayatollah has declared the winner..election is over.. He has spoken.

Anyone now protesting is an enemy of the state, an enemy of the ayatollah, a lackey of the west..etc.
