Adam Trenk, candidate for a town council seat in Arizona, has won his election by a landslide. He drew a king, while his opponent drew a 6. In a town where, long ago, elections were sometimes settled by gun fights, they were considering a paint ball fight, but decided against it, as it involved skill. I would have paid admission to see a paint ball fight. I hope the next presidential election is deadlocked, and Arizona has some say in how to break it. LOL.

I would have paid good money to see, for example, McCain and Obama arm wrestling for the presidency.

No fair!:( McCain cannot raise his arms above shoulder level, and he's old. They should have a Bridge game. Then McCain would have the advantage:rofl

wonder if Norm Coleman would agree to this. Probably not.

I was going to say that AL Bore could have had a better chance if the 2000 POTUS election was decided that way but then I realized that The Shrub would have found a way to cheat.

Fascinating.

An election eight years gone, and the little children still beleive the lies they heard from their friends in the schoolyard. Eight years, and still they haven't bothered to learn the truth.

====

What's funny is they eschewed the paintball duel because it would measure the skill level between the candidates.

And then people wonder why we get stuck with contests between incompetents like McCain and The Messiah.

OMG I feel so bad for you. You must have gone to a real bad school where they told lies. How will you ever get over that ? I for one am a lucky guy I went to Chatholic school and we were not allowed to lie and we did not lie.

The nuns warned us that we would meet people like like you.

The nuns should have been warning you about the priests. :mrgreen:

1) This is actually ridiculously common. Most small towns (and even some states) have rules saying that ties are decided by coin toss or card drawing.

2) The guy who won the election is in the same year of law school as me. Fortunately, I think he rises to a much higher level of douche:

Mr. Trenk, who considered himself a fresh face in politics, wanted the seat badly enough to spend $17,000 on his campaign, unheard of in races here that normally require candidates to shell out several hundred dollars for a bunch of fliers.

He said he had moved to Cave Creek last year from Scottsdale, an upscale suburb to the south, to keep a horse in his backyard and live the Western life he believes is threatened by unchecked development. He cast himself during the campaign as a preservationist.

Rich kid spends $20k of his daddy's money to win an inconsequential seat on an inconsequential board in an inconsequential town. lol.
