Palin Dodges Talk of Running for Governor Again

"Alaska is facing a $1.65 billion budget shortfall for fiscal year 2009[1] and a similar shortfall for fiscal year 2010, $1.25 billion, in light of drops in oil revenue.[2] In early January 2009 Senate President Gary Stevens stated that the state was facing a budget deficit as large as $2 to $3 billion for FY 2010."
_____________________________________________________________

Could you please show me anywhere in that link where it says that Palin has balanced the Alaskan Budget?

Thanks.

A total of $1.36 billion and approximately $1.2 billion are estimated to be withdrawn for FY 2009 and FY 2010 respectively. “Responsible reductions and prudent use of reserve funds that we had set aside for tougher times will help us weather the storm,” said Palin.

They have reserve funds to keep the state out of the red. Alaska is borrowing no money to keep its budget afloat as is. That means continuing infrastructure projects and all of its very frugal public works going.

And as oil prices start going up again (as evidence that they are, I simply refer you to the pump), the budget shortfall will decrease and the budget will return to normal. Basically, these eventualities are planned for.

Now you need to make a decision. Answer for the misrepresentations you made earlier or concede that Palin has expanded public safety. You can only throw out so many new issues to be batted aside before you run out.

As Mayor, ‘Hard-Core Fiscal Conservative’ Sarah Palin Left Wasilla $20 Million In Debt.

Palin’s Deficit Spending / Think Progress the bruce blog

This sounds like a sound reason to reelect her for a second term as Gov.

Yeah, we'll get to that when you answer for your earlier post. We're no longer moving forward until you do or you concede that point.

I refuse to let you pepper the thread with various issues and then jump from one to another as I put down your random points of contention.

Let's keep this a little organized, shall we?

That really bother you, ha ha ! Well the Igloo Girl will provide us with a few more years of funny fun.

You might want to check fire on that. you ask around, The Good Reverend can make it much worse for you all, than simple "igloo girl" in reference to obama. ;)

Guys, before we tackle anything else with him, he needs to answer for this:

Are you claiming that in Alaska they were not collecting the DNA from felons prior to Palin's rule? Were they not doing electronic monitoring of felons prior to Palin's rule?

So what!! Sex offenders that don't check in don't collect a check. Anywhere else they go back to Prison..why is Palin wussing out on this issue?

Why is Alaska still the Meth capitol of the US?

Now on the #3.

3. What if any infrastructure projects has she played any part in beginning during her reign?

I am starting to think someone is pullying a NavyPride. That doesn't float around here.

Do you always make it up as you go along? Are you activley trying to buffoon your way into irrellevancy?

Prove Alaska is the "meth capitol of the US"... I think Missouri would sue you for libel. :2wave:

Canada needs to get its Natives under control. Palin cannot do that for them.

Perhaps you'd also like to blame Palin for Katrina while you're at it?

Canada needs to do no such thing. If the companies that stand to benefit from a pipeline can strike a deal with the First Nations in good faith, then the situation will take care of itself. Canada has no obligation to 'get its natives under control' so a gas line that connects two parts of a foreign country can be built.

All this first nations crap is just a polite way of saying Darwin's Failures. The First Nations exist only by the good graces of the conquerors. Canada needs to do something about the Yukon natives and their abuse of the court system.

I don't subscribe to outdated and derelict sympathies toward a people that no longer exist. They are Canadians and subject to Canadian law...not some tribal nonsense.

But that's not really the issue here. The real issue is that goldendog is refusing to answer for his own dishonesty. This is my final request. If he does not answer for his misrepresentation and lies, we will consider this debate won in Palin's favor.

Palins lost everything else. She will lose here to.

I'm not concerned about Canadian law. I wasn't attempting to respect it, change it, or make it relevant to this discussion. It was just a suggestion to Canada.

Now how about that whole "meth capital of the US" comment and the "paying sex offenders to register" misrepresentation?

There was no misrepresentation Jall...all I said was the sex offenders that don't register anyplace else they go to prison and they are no longer qualified for certain state and government monies..big friggen deal.
This is no glaring quality to consider when pondering reelecting the princess to a second term. Excepy maybe for you.

Nothing precludes them from going to prison either. It is an added penalty. But I understand your need to be deceitful and paint it as something else. I will simply accept your concession to the point I made and move forward.

And about your blatant, bold faced lie concerning the meth capital of the US?

And if you wish to continue this conversation with civility, you will drop the name calling as it demeans any attempt at rational discussion. The governor's name is Sarah Palin. I understand that you believe name calling to be legitimate debate but I assure you it is not. I will not waste my time taking you seriously if you intend to behave like a child.

That call is, as always, yours.

You call her what you wish and I'll call her what I wish..take it or leave it.

Then if you can't have an intelligent, adult conversation without being a childish troll, this conversation is over. I am pretty sure you are pleased that the merciless obliteration of your every argument is over, however.

I accept your defeat.

Your failure is noted...the princess would be proud.

When the hack is less of a dumb hack then maybe she'll gain my respect. Until then she doesn't have it.

Really kinda makes one wonder if Jall would be accepting of the same whiney lecture when given to him when he refers to the President as the Messiah?

I doubt it...Hypocricy will probably rule as is does with every other issue....:bs

Jall did you read this line of the article?

" Representatives of the canadian tribes, known as First Nations, say Palin and other pipeline proponents are treating them with disrespect."

Does this suprise you? I doens't me. What the heck does "getting it ready on her end mean"?
She has been touting this as her main victory since the Rep. Nat. Conv.(funeral). Remember when McCain, with his country first slogan, brought her out to crawl through Hillary's crack and save McCain's sinking campaign? It was such a memorable day.

Does getting it started means prancing out on a stage and beaming a pitbull smile and saying over and over again the the pipeline is underway. Nothing more?

Jall do you think Palin is going to run for Governor again, I mean with all of her major accomplishments, she's gotta be a shoe in.

Sarah Palin is Governor of Canada now? :doh

No..but it really doesn't take a Einstein to realize that Palin is full of hot air on this issue and the Nation tribes have more control over the success of this pipeline than Palin ever did. Even though she has already spent a half a billion state tax dollars on a project that she should have known it would be dead in the water from the start. Because she herself refuses to treat the Nation Tribes with the dignity and respect they deserve.

The desperate acts of a half-assed politician.

Idiotic. The stalling tactics are coming from a foreign country which Palin does not control. If you want to bitch about the pipeline bein stalled, you should take it up with the Canadians, otherwise, you simply look foolish trying to blame Sarah Palin for Canada's failure.

Only a dimwit would not have solved this problem before wasting a half a billion dollars of their states taxpayers money.

Palin's pipeline to nowhere.....Let me rephrase....Palins Pipeline up the booties of Alaskan citizens.

Only a dimwit believes a state governor is responsible for the actions of a foreign country.

I'll leave you to your derangement in peace. :2wave:
