We're considering the possibility of making her the President of the Independent Republic of Free Alaska, by acclimation next year.

But but, did not Palin say during the presidential election that it was a done deal and almost finished? So much for another of her "key" positives..

The principal achievement of Sarah Palin's term as Alaska's governor, a natural-gas pipeline project backed by $500 million in state tax money, might never be built unless Canadian authorities can strike a deal with some of the country's angry Indian tribes. Approximately half of the proposed pipeline would run through Canada; native tribes who live along its route complain they haven't been consulted about it and are threatening to sue unless they are compensated. Representatives of the canadian tribes, known as First Nations, say Palin and other pipeline proponents are treating them with disrespect. The tribes' lawyers warn that the courts are on their side and say the Indians have the power to delay the pipeline for years—or even kill it entirely by filing endless lawsuits.
Oh, I imagine that money will fix this. When groups start getting publicly dramatic about how they''re not being shown respect, that's usually the cure.

Uh, yeah so how does this even begin to fall on Palin when these are CANADIAN injuns? Got nothing to do with her.

The Natives in ALASKA...you know the place Palin is responsible for? derr...are not having any issues.

It is on her end. She's got things in order in Alaska. Now Canada just needs to get it's natives back under control.

    Especially with Natives.

I am all for cutting the whole native issue out of the scenario. It's been long enough that they should be integrated into western society and not segregating themselves so they can freely run casinos in non gambling territories.

And? It is an American project directly promoted by Palin. She should have had the Canadians on-board before spouting her mouth off in her self promotion battle. The fact is she basically lied.

If she had been in the private sector as project manager or/and the responsible one, and gone out and claimed that something was ready and when it in fact was not, then she would have been fired.

No, the fact is, she completed everything to get the project going in Alaska. The Canadians are now holding up the project. The fact is, you don't know what the hell you're talking about. Again.

No, she would have reported exactly what she reported to us: that she had the deal ready to go on the pipeline and was now being held up by a foreign government. The only reason you cry "fired" is because you become completely deranged when you see an R beside someone's name.

Jall did you read this line of the article?

" Representatives of the canadian tribes, known as First Nations, say Palin and other pipeline proponents are treating them with disrespect."

Does this suprise you? I doens't me. What the heck does "getting it ready on her end mean"?
She has been touting this as her main victory since the Rep. Nat. Conv.(funeral). Remember when McCain, with his country first slogan, brought her out to crawl through Hillary's crack and save McCain's sinking campaign? It was such a memorable day.

Does getting it started means prancing out on a stage and beaming a pitbull smile and saying over and over again the the pipeline is underway. Nothing more?

Jall do you think Palin is going to run for Governor again, I mean with all of her major accomplishments, she's gotta be a shoe in.

Yeah, I pointed to exactly that when I said these are CANADIAN tribes...people Palin has 0 jurisdiction over. They are CANADA's problem, not ours. And Canada needs to get them under control with a quickness or it will be responsible for a lot of work being for nothing.
