Letterman was joking about the daughter with a history of getting knocked up - 18-yo Bristol - else the joke wouldn't have any context.

Chalk it up to poor research on the part of his staff.

The fact that he and is staff ****ed up is irrellevant, At least he finally did the right thing.

But don't you think it would be a tad worse if he was truly intending to target the 14 year old daughter with the joke? I do agree, though, that an apology was necessary regardless.

Yes, it would be worse if he was "Truly intending", of course. But the fact is, by thier stupidity, and thier lazines, they did indeed attack a 14 year old, and were pressured into an apology.

What is means is I do more in the political process than your raging out a juvenile racial slur on a forum, which adds up to nothing.

State law gives an election judge “power” within the boundaries of a polling place as both judge and jury. Those with power should use it wisely and fully. Those without power sometimes resort to instead raging. Be careful out there raging at someone who has the power to stop your raging.

I did throw one person out the door. Literally threw him. It was a use of power. In my opinion arresting someone usually doesn't change the person. Fear and pain sometimes does.

He claimed it was abuse of power as you wrote and called the sheriff’s department. They agreed I had not fully done my duty and arrested him. He complained the sheriff’s department acted wrongly in arresting him for disturbing the peace. The court agreed and instead found him guilty of illegally campaigning within a polling place thereby increasing the fine 300%. He should have left it at being throw out the door. Is he learning anything? Rage at power challenging its power and power increasingly will demonstrate its power back.

This is not directed at you in my stating that raging loud mouth punks don’t rule the world. Not if they’re in my world. After giving the most careful consideration to what you wrote and what I wrote I have reached an opinion. What I say is worth more than what you say.

I'm sure Reverend has never once, ever, had an impure thought about a female who he later found out (or hell, DIDN'T find out but was the case, but he did poor fact finding) was underage...or else he'd have to be a pedophile by his logic that it is not intent but simply the end result that defines what something is.

I didn't say you called someone a pedophile, I'm saying using the same logic you're using on Letterman.....that because he and his writing staff made an assumption, didn't think to double check things, and thus made a classless joke against a target they weren't intending that made the joke even worse that he somehow intentionally was making "a rape joke"....then you would have to consider anyone that makes an assumption about a girls age, doesn't double check it, and makes a classless sexual thought or comment in regards to them are actually making a pedophilia joke/thought if the person in question is actually underage, despite them thinking that wasn't the case at the time.

I never held this position. In fact if you review my conversation with Dr. Patrick, there would be no confusion on your part sir.


Here is my position again.


I think the writers and lettrman did not due thier due dilligence in researching the facts before making a tasteless joke they thought was about bristol at a yankee game. When it came to light that it was willow and not bristol, they immediatly should have apologized.

The fact is, the joke was about the 14 year old, whether they like it or not. And when it came to light thats how many read it, instead of immediatly doing the right thing and apologizing they went on the attack initially only later after pressure did he apologize.


The jokes even about an 18 year old were abhorrent and classless.


And I would feel the same exact way about an 18 year old/15 year old obama daughter, clinton daughter, etc.
