After a week of chaos in Albany that began when Democrat Senators Hiram Monserrate and Pedro Espada Jr., sided with the GOP, Monserrate is quoted as saying that he's returning to where he started -- with the Democrats.

Damn, that was quick. For anybody who points their finger at John McCain or John Kerry for waffling, they are nothing compared to this guy, who seems to be breaking the record for political switch hitting. Monserrate has switched faster than a bisexual audience at a co-ed swim suit competition.

Shouldn't he go ahead and just claim "independent"?

I think they both are just scrambling due to the fact that both are suspected of corruption and one of them is actually to be indicted.

Yeh, and one of them was named Speaker by the Republicans in return for his treachery.

I suppose it would matter if there was really any difference between the two parties in the Republocrats, but there's not.

And now the other is being welcomed back with open arms by the democrats despite the fact that he's awaiting charges for stabbing his girlfriend in the face.

You really want to play the "who's hands are dirtier?" game on this one?
