You need to read the article.

The Uighers have the opportunity to pursue citizenship and the right to resettle anywhere.

If memory serves, Bermuda citizenship would give them automatic entry into the UK (can someone from the UK confirm or correct me on this?).

Who protects Bermuda? Who funds its defense?

We're smart enough to not want them, and smart enough to not complain about the nice treatment they've been getting down there. Hanging out on a tropical paradise, getting three squares a day, able to lounge around every day....not a bad life for a caught terrorist, considering they should be making pigs fat by this time.

The rest of the world is all unhappy over this "abusive" treatment, standards many of them can't apply to their own citizens, let alone their prisons, and yet when we graciously offer them the opportunity to show us how it should be done, they've declined.

So, either put your money where your mouth is, or beat it, we don't care.

I mean, you people are even whining about the "innocent" ones we're letting go.

No checks or stops, they can come in and out of UK

I'm all happy about taking in innocent ones.

But not when we are not informed.
Not when we have not checked and confirmed it.
Not when we were not bloody well prepared, not able to assess the danger the people may/may not pose on its citizens.

More a general comment. I am sure you all have done something to annoy the government, if just encouraging people to drive on the wrong side of the road.

By the way, driving on what feels the wrong side of the road is worse in a country that likes traffic circles...trust me on that.

And was this not the precise obstacle that bedeviled Bush as he sought a home for the Uighers?

    China will kill them.

    No one else wants them.

Some days it sucks to be a terrorist.

    Oh come on!

Redress, you cannot be seriously pushing that line of crap logic.

If you have specific gripes against the UK or Gordon Brown's government, let's hear them. A general "well you've done stuff too" is the kind of mealy-mouthed excuse I would expect from a third grader.

You so do not have your game on here.

I never claimed to have a specific complaint. I made what I intended as a general comment, which is that we(both the US and Britain) should not sweat petty crap, and I certainly do consider this petty crap. Now if you want to address what I actually saying, without trying to expand it, please do.
