Sixth-grader stabbed by classmate

All schools should require the wearing of swimsuits at all times, have entirely water-proof school buildings and materials, and provide a varried selection of water guns to their students.

Additionally, they should have a mandatory 5 min water gun battle between each class.

Exemptions are allowed if a child has hydrophobia or some such.

Considering I was stabbed in junior high... and given the number of people I know who have been shot, and or assaulted with deadly weapons.. just in my small little world... alone...

I doubt it.

Please show some statistics on this...your anecdotal evidence does not cut it.

I have to say that just because there is data doesn't mean that its accurate.

The data also says violent crime, bullying may not be considered violent crime.

How many of these incidents go unreported because the student fears retribution?

Bullying shouldn't be considered a crime. It's not a crime for one kid to punk out another. The moment he decides to use a knife to do it or does anything more then give another kid a bloody nose. Then it's a crime. And then it's reported. I think it's safe to say the data on such incidents would be pretty accurate.

I'm surprised you didn't start your post off advocating 6th graders bringing guns to class. I mean by your flawless and rabidly pro-gun logic that would decrease the rampart violence in schools.

Hmm... And I am suprised you didn't start attacking these kids as "rednecks" and other such "logic" you usually put forth in threads like this. :2wave:
