    The entire premise of the OP is flawed because recycling is not a "religion" and there are laws that provide against the government involvement in religion which is why religions are not allowed to use government to foist their views on society in general.

    That said...I am all in favor of this type of legislation.

    Why should I have to live with your garbage simply because you are too lazy to sort it?
