Actually, the point stands nicely on it's own, independent of this whole media circus.

As for Prejean, she learned a lesson: Life is not fair. People will mock and judge you for your beliefs. People will use those beliefs to hurt and harm you.
 
This woman will write a book now about this whole event and make millions. She also beautiful and smart, and she'll make it somewhere else.

Oh but it is. Only under the most simplistic analysis of our norms for engagement would that be true. But there is a much more complex issue of how we approach dialog in this country and even across different forum, media, etc.
