My grandfather was an unceasing racist. He's been deceased for 8 years or so. I loved him, but I'm not at all sad that he's no longer able to spew his hateful vitriol into the world.
I was just a kid when, once while we were in the car driving somewhere, he looked out his window at a man jogging and said, "Look at the monkey run! Spent lots of years practicing that. Must be a sale at the liquor store!"
That sort of thing was par for the course. Hard to understand that line of thinking.

To the story, this is a sad day for all Americans. When blind hatred rears it's ugly head and someone is killed for no valid reason whatsoever, innocence is once again lost. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the security guard who was killed. Such a tragedy, such a shame.
Welfare (Food Stamps, WIC, etc...) are not entitlements. They are taxpayer funded handouts and shouldn't be called entitlements at all. Social Security and Veteran's benefits are 'Entitlements' because the people receiving them are entitled to them. They were earned and paid for by the recipients.
