Centre-right parties have done well in elections to the European Parliament at the expense of the left.

Far-right and anti-immigration parties also made gains, as turnout figures plunged to 43% - the lowest since direct elections began 30 years ago.

The link the BBC clearly tries to make is disingenuous at best.

Basically Europe (esp the UK) is rejecting the spend thrift welfare state of the socialists.

Watch and learn.. the rejection of Socialism is coming to America soon. Obama is Brown but spending godawful amounts more.
 
I hope you're right. I fear that for much of Europe, what they call "far right" is what we'd call "left-center". :lol:

Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking. With social democrats inaccurately described as "socialists" by American rightists, there's not a very rational means of measurement...
 
Unfortunately Europe's idea of "the right" is when the government thugs wear more expensive suits and possibly powdered wigs while they do what all socialist governments do - beat the **** out of you and lift your wallet... :(
 
"Far Right" in Europe is basically the same as what an American would view as the "Far Right" in the USA.

Anyway... the spend thrift welfare state garbage the Europeans are rejecting is the same garbage Obama is trying to apply to the USA.

The UK Labour Party, Germany's Social Democrats and France's Socialist Party were heading for historic defeats.

What, ya think we don't got eyes of our own? How dare you point out that The Messiah is brown.


We kinda had that fact shoved down our throats because the media didn't want to discuss that Their Messiah is a socialist.

If Europe has the will to stop moving left, that will mean only one thing in the United States.

It will mean the American leftists that voted for The Messiah will stop admiring Europe and start telling us that international opinion doesn't matter.
