If you want a serious rebuttal to your arguments it would probably help if you cut the Dear Leader crap. I honestly can't take you seriously when you do that.More instructively, I don't see where Hannity waited to bounce Turner from his show. Dear Leader waited until everyone was calling him on the carpet to throw first his grandmother then Wright under the bus.
I personally don't care when they cut ties with these people and how long it took them. The bottom line is that I think both are cases of opportunist hacks trying to tie someone they don't agree with to something bad. I don't think that they share views with these people in either case.If it was the right thing to do, it should have been done right away. If it was not the right thing to do, it should not have been done at all. In matters of right and wrong, delay is damnation.
Farakhan and Wright, though terrible and worthless to say what they said, doesnt fit in the same league as what this Turner guy said.
Had Wright or Farkhan told folks to go forth and take up arms and kill folks, then that would be a different story.
It may come from the same roots, but 1 is most certainly going into the realm of instigating violence on another human being, as compared to just saying "God damn America" isnt instigating violence on folks.
This is coming from someone who doesnt like Wright or Farakhan, but the difference b/w what they said and what Turner said are not the same thing.
People go to a specific church because it comports with those spiritual beliefs.
Would you listen to sermons for 20 years espousing beliefs you rejected? Have you counted as a close spiritual adviser for two decades someone whose beliefs you rejected? If yes, then further discussion is pointless. If no, then your personal history is not germane to the point.
