There is no constitutional right to vote. It's up to each state to determine how they are going to select their various representatives.

Gun ownership does not in and of itself affect the political process. Voting does. I would have to check, but I believe it is up to the States to determine voting requirements.

Policies that only allow registered voters to vote "disproportionately discriminate against minorities" as well.

How so? Are minorities not able to register to vote or is it somehow more difficult for them to register to vote?

Are minorities too stupid to figure out how to register to vote?
Climate, changes. It takes a particularly uneducated population to buy into the idea that it's their fault climate is changing and further political solutions can fix it.

Minorities are registered to vote at disproportionately low rates. I'm not offering a reason, just that fact.

In 2000, the last year for which detailed demographic statistics are available that examine election participation, there were 144.7 million non-Hispanic white citizens, and of that number, 103.6 million, or 71.6 percent, were registered to vote. Of 22.8 million African-American citizens in 2000, only 15.3 million, or 67.5 percent, were registered to vote. Among the Asian/Pacific Islander (API) population, 2.5 million, or 52.4 percent, of 4.7 million citizens were registered to vote in 2000. Among Hispanics, 7.5 million, or 57.3 percent, of 13.2 million citizens were registered to vote in 2000. (See Table 9.2.)
    Political Participation - Voter Registration

The gap may have closed somewhat by now, but not by all the way.

With this particular story/event the state Democrats had to find people that were effected by this law to bring up the case.

If I remember correctly, one of them said something about the government using fire hoses and dogs on minorities again.
The Atlanta Democrats are a giant, race baiting joke.

It is much ado about nothing.

Is that somehow our fault? They have just as much freedom to go down to the city offices and register as any of the rest of us. I have no sympathy of those poor little minorities who fail to do their duty. Besides they have ACORN to help them. Who the hell helps us whities?

I'm not sure what you think you're arguing with me about.
