Geithner to Reassure China U.S. Will Control Deficits

    Now this is rich.

We got the most spend happy President in the history of the country, we got the US bind rating about to take a nose dive out of the Triple A ratings, and now we got Geithner, Pelosi and company over in China trying to keep the Chinese buying America.

Only problem is, the Chinese are asking for real hard numbers from Geithner, who is by and large full of hot air and tax evasion.

What happens when China slams the door in Geithner's face, when he doesnt provide them with real hard numbers on exactly how the USA will control deficits, when we have a President who is in the process of nationalizing whatever he wants to? Not sure how he plans on cutting deficits or the debt, by bailing out companies and industries and taking over healthcare.

The Chinese have a right to ask for real numbers, only problem is, we the American people are gonna get screwed, b/c Team Obama knows if he produces real numbers, they aint gonna buy it. We may be looking at a real crossroads here.

China is calling Team Obama out here. I hate to say it, but Team Obama aint gonna have the numbers they are looking for b/c most of Team Obama is a bunch of hot air talk.

First off I don't take anyone who says "aint" seriously.

Second off, it was agreed by most conservatives that stopping spending will just make the economy worse, slo before you go shooting your mouth off about something you don't know, research it.

Thirdly, China wont slam the door in Geithners face because the US is the biggest consumer of Chinese products, if they want their deficit getting bigger, and their production to come to a complete halt, then they will slam the door, but I doubt they want that.

And the nationalization of all these things is only to help the American people who cant afford health care, veterans who have PTSD who cant afford health care. So why don't you just stop while your ahead.

Don't you think you are jumping the gun a bit here. He is 4 and a half months into his administration, he could very well(I hope) reduce spending in the next 3.5 years.

I am a conservative that believes we should allow the free market to correct its self. This may cause things to get worse short term sure but it would be better in the long run.

Funny that Geithner suggested to china that they should push for domestic consumption instead of relying so much on exports to the US.

Name anything that the government has run that isnt twice as expensive and half the value. Healthcare wont be any better and it angers me that people that believe in national health care will push the bill to me when I dont want any part of it. If it was a volutary tax and service I would be ok with it but not when its just one more thing I am taxed for that I will never use.

Its already to late for that. He spent 5 trillion in his 1st 60 days and has yet to let up. His agenda into the forseable future is nothing but more spending.

Yeah... after spending 4x as much as was spent in 2008 he can claim he is cutting spending by only spending 3x as much as he spent in 2009.

How long does that last anyway?
..y'know the whole he's only been in office x amount so he's not the boss yet...

    .

IMO he has until mid-late 2010.
That is when the realities of how much he spent will start being felt. When more people have started understanding how much he has spent(right now its so huge I think people just mind blank on what it means). Inflation will also likely start and its likely to be bad.
Maybe more importantly he will either be in the midst or tail end of an effort to spend trillions on healthcare, energy, enviroment, petting zoos and god knows what else.

Whats most telling is there is already a pretty universal view forming amongst Americans that he needs to STOP. Basically that Big Government, quasi-socialism, massive spending, and investments in ideals are not flying with people on all political sides.

Right now the GM and general bailout government direct involvement in US companies..is not playing well with Americans overall at all. Likely be news subject for a year or more and get worse for Obama. He invested Our money and by the looks of things atm..blew it.

You may notice already that the "speech" is not being viewed as an answer by people. There's more of a "he didn't answer the question" type comments being made by both individuals and media types.

Barring a gigantic asteroid full of gold crashing into the WH, Jesus returning, an Alien Invasion, or something of the like Obama has set the stage for a backlash that will be aimed at him the likes of which this nation has not seen since 1980.
It will be made worse by the already present snickering about his teleprompter crutch and his tendency to pose with his nose in the air like a snob. Two constant visuals that coupled with the spending, etc only a completely blind Obama supporter cannot see likely coming.

Want to know what Obam has accomplished in 4.5 months?
(..no not the most done in the first 4 months of an administration since FDR.. like he ridiculously claims...)

In 4.5 months he has already handed every potential 2012 opponent an issue to pound him on.

Are you against Obama nationalizing troubling firms because it only serves to further the problems of the economy, or because its against "American values"? Just wondering.

I am against nationalization of the markets period. The government has proven time and time again, it cant run anything effectively, except the military. I have worked for government and all I can say is WOW, the idea of them taking over companies and trying to run them is laughable.
