Funny thing for a Hahvahd constitutional law professor to say, isn't it? Last time I checked, the Constitution isn't written on muscle tissue.

Again read we need a minority.

She was the perfect pick for Obama because not only is she a minority but she's a minority who understands inherently that being a minority makes her a better judge.

I think "obsession" is fair. Given that the one thing we knew beyond a shadow of a doubt was that Obama was not going to appoint a white man. We also knew there was a really really good chance they were going to look for a Hispanic.

We are obsessed with race/minorities at the highest levels of our government. It is sad. We will never get past it if they insist on making it the issue at every turn.
Obama ran on a campaign that the days of Old Washington are going to be a thing of the past...that means the days of "old white fart" politics is fading fast and there is nothing the "Right Wing" can do about it.

A Female Hispanic is exactly what the court needs. No because of her race. Not because of her gender..but because of what she represents.
Minorities and lower and middle class issues.

    Change is great...

He still said it, and it's still worrying. Even if most of what Obama says is pretty rhetoric or basic policy, his opinions are still available as targets for criticism.

Hopefully a minority heart as white men have defunct hearts and no experience worth a ****.

And somehow looking to their copy of the constitution is not good enough. You don't change a job because it is boring.
    Let's figure it out.

She's replacing David Souter, so I'd call it status quo.
