I might bet that your kids resented growing up with a parent that never practiced what they preached and didn't lead by example.

You didn't say anything about her argument, you said something about her personally and her only.

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

Yes, you're correct, there are other rights that are not stated by the Constitution and the Federal government shouldn't be attempting to deny those rights. That said, neither too is it the FEDERAL governments place nor privledge to also be dealing with said rights either. They are the STATES issues to resolve.

Yes, you most certainly made those others up. "The Right to Drug Use"? Really, that's a "right"? Its not a "right", but it is something the federal government shouldn't be bullying around in. A persons right and something that the federal government is not meant to be involved in does not necessarily equal. You feel those things are things that should be protected so you just decide, based on nothing but conjecture, to say the Constitution grants it to you not because the constitution says so but because you feel that it does.

    Conservative groups criticize Sotomayor pick

TheHill.com - Conservative groups criticize Sotomayor pick

"Judge Sotomayor is a liberal judicial activist of the first order who thinks her own personal political agenda is more important than the law as written," said Wendy Long, counsel to the conservative Judicial Confirmation Network. "She thinks that judges should dictate policy, and that one's sex, race and ethnicity ought to affect the decisions one renders from the bench."
Ah... judicial activision... what a surprise for a liberal judge.

"I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasnít lived that life," Sotomayor said during the speech, which has provoked angry opposition from would-be opponents.
Well, it looks like Sotomayor's own words confirm Wendy Long's concerns (above).

I understand from several sources that a majority of Sotomayor's decisions while on the Court of Appeals were overruled by the Supreme Court. It looks like Obama has struck "gold" with this one!

I guess you're the one human on this planet who has never regretted saying something and apologized for it....
I don't consider oops I shouldn't have said that followed by condescending laughter as any sort of genuine apology. You do?
