You mean Clinton's Budget plan of 1993 that the Republican's lobbied and voted against and which only passed due to Gore's tie breaking vote? The same budget that led to the surplus of 1998 which was used to pay down the nations debt?

The problem is that in each case the government was in control, because Republican and Democrat are wings of the same damn governement, so of course spending got out of control.

I think that we can say that Obama really is Bush 44. Or, to put it more accurately, Bush was Obama light. Bush only spent like a drunken sailor. Obama spends like a passed out one.

You mean where Clinton raised taxes on social security recipients? That budget?

Uhm, son, I was making a comparison.

    Bush spent too much.

The Dem's have in a little over 100 days made Bush look like a Scrooge.

I see that goes RIIIGHT over your head doesn't it?
Climate, changes. It takes a particularly uneducated population to buy into the idea that it's their fault climate is changing and further political solutions can fix it.

    Re: 'we're out of money'

    We're out of money now?
The US government has been out of money for quite some time now. When you have no money and you are borrowing, you are out of money. You are then completely operating on credit. That is what Obama was saying.

Bankruptcy is looking like a better and better idea by the day.
That's an absolutely terrible idea; but there really aren't any ideas that are much better.

We used to be the intelligent country with our Thomas Edisons' and Bill Gates' and Einsteins.
    1. Edison wasn't that great of an inventor. He was far better at stealing/buying others' patents than actually inventing everything himself. He was also a pretty big asshole.
    2. Einstein was German.

You mean where Clinton raised taxes on social security recipients? That budget?
Boo hoo. I have no sympathy for social security recipients.

    Re: 'we're out of money'

Bush spent a ton of money, which royally sucks for republicans, but he also kept the US safe. After 9/11 the US was scared ****less. They didnt know who would hit 'em next. Now, 7 years later, not a government or organization in the world, save the Iranians with something to prove, would strike the US on American soil. Bush showed the world the US IS NOT A PACIFIST SUPERPOWER AND WONT ROLL OVER AND TAKE IT!
