Republican Gov's Perry campaign chief called Sen. K. Bailey Hutchinson's campaign as "opening the doors of a whorehouse" !! Perry and Hutch are locked in a GOP primary battle for TexGovernator.

This is what Dave Carney, once Bush's White House Political Director, said "the Republican governor agrees the party should welcome new voters.' " But that doesn't mean you take your principles and throw them out the door and become a whorehouse .. "

WOW !! Looks like the Republicans think that if you think for yourself or do not walk and talk like Rush The Drug Addict Limbaugh syas and if you are a woman you must be a whore !!!

Question to Republicans "are all woman whores" or only those who do not agree with you ?
Ever hear of a metaphor? I guess it's reaching to expect you to have heard of a hyperbole, huh?

It's only stupid if presumably enlightened people want to go all PC about the use of the word "whorehouse".

If a group abandons principles and curries favor with anyone and everyone, how are they not a whorehouse, metaphorically speaking?

Given that a group that abandons principles and curries favor with anyone and everyone would, in fact, be a whorehouse, metaphorically speaking, how exactly is Carney in error by what he said?

If the only presumed sin is his use of the word "whorehouse", then the significance of this non-issue drops to absolute zero.

Ummm he was saying don't throw your principals out the window to win an election.

How this has anything to do with "whores" is beyond me.

Why do you call yourself an independent? According to your posts so far you would appear to be a partisan Democrat.

It's politically stupid because it gives his opponents a sound bite they can spin against him, as we have already seen.

And around here, we call people who make comments like that...well, we call them amusing.

If this is how the Anti-Republicans spin soundbites, the Republicans can look to a very favorable 2010 election season.

This is very true, but anyone with a shred of common sense would understand what he said and meant. Using the word the way he did is not really any kind of a liability politically speaking. Of course this does not include political hacks.

Then worry. Because there were enough of those out there to elect Obama this past year.

I don't agree. I think Obama was the right man at the right time, for all the wrong reasons.

He was truly the lesser of two evils for those who vote only Democrat or Republican. Until 3rd party candidates are given some credibility by the main stream media, it will remain so until the US no longer exists.
