Pfizer Offers Jobless Americans Free Viagra, Lipitor, Other Drugs for a Year

They now have the drugs to get it up, but no money for prostitutes. They had better hope they are married.

Since the unemployed and under-employed cannot afford a prosti does anyone know if President Obama's Service To America Corp will pick up the slack ? That could be honorable work - we could call the Sex Corp - V.I.C.E = Volunteer In Copulation Emergencies

I agree. Many a single man with no booty call spends his weekend smelling like stripper butter and back child support, anyway. Alcohol is bad enough; there's no need to exacerbate this desperation with viagra.

And then when the year is up an the recession has eased, people will come crawling back with money to pay for more... especially lipitor.

They could go it alone.

Thank you Pfizer for my free Viagra now I can continue to rape without spending one thin dime.

I'm dismayed at some of the flippant remarks I'm seeing here. This is a serious problem. I have a job and insurance, but I couldn't possibly afford to buy all of my medications at full price; my insurance mail order pharmacy charges me $10/ 90 day supply for each prescription that is generic. Brand name drugs are considerably more expensive, but fortunately all my meds have generic equivalents.

My brother, who is on medication for a heart condition, just lost his job. He could potentially benefit from this program.

I doubt anyone here would wish to deny help to someone down on their luck. Abuse of the system has always been the focus of prohibiting broad ranging programs to provide free goods and services.

"psst, the first hit is free, the next one's gonna cost 'ya".
