Delara Darabi, 23, was hanged on May 1 by the clerical regime of Iran, despite widespread international opposition. This has shocked all freedom loving and democratic forces around the world.
Execution of a young woman, who at the time of the crime attributed to her was only 17 is nothing but a sign of savagery, barbarism and misogyny of the medieval regime ruling Iran.
Still 150 other inmates in different Iranian prisons, who, at the time of attributed crimes, were juvenile, are waiting to be hanged in coming weeks and months.

This is a tragic event, as is the death of any human being, but is there any indication that the law of Iran was unevenly or incorrectly applied?

Yes. Iran is seeking the death penalty for the 7 members of the Bah'ai' leadership there. Their crime? Practicing their religion. Yes, the law IS applied unevenly in Iran. If the God of Islam is a just God, then the Mullahs who run the government in Iran will burn in hell for all eternity.

They will.
It shouldn't be us humans anyway who have the power to decide when to take life, that lies with God or it should be.
But hey, they are Shia  [I couldn't resist sticking the boot in] - Like i can talk as a Sunni lol

May the mullahs be boiled alive in a solution of pig feces, entrails, and blood.

There is nothing wrong with a convicted murderer receiving the death penalty. So ****ing what the murderer was 17.Does this make her victim's death less tragic? Does this mean that just because the offender was a minor that we should say **** the victim and only give them partial justice?

You scumbag sympathizers have as much compassion for the real victims and their loved ones as these murderers on death row show.

BTW this story was already done.

Murder and pissing off religious people are two separate issues. Its like saying "because Bob was arrested for littering then that must mean any murder convictions of any totally unrelated people are illegitimate.

It still shows that Iran is uneven in its prosecutions. If they choose to persecute a religion, what's to say they aren't also trumping up charges on some of the other people they are seeking to put to death? After all, the Mullahs have already lied.

Does their constitution have a 1st amendment?

Just because a country punishes people for pissing off islamic relgiious people does not mean they will just go and make up bogus murder charges to execute some. After all if they can make up charges to execute people for and execute people for what we would consider some measly **** since we value 1st amendment amendment rights then I am pretty sure they could find something other than murder to execute her for.

I'm against capital punishment in general, so by default I find this disgusting... but no more disgusting than capital punishment elsewhere. It does not deserve special treatment or specific scrutiny just because it takes place under a Theocracy.
