And there's the right-wing rewriting of history. Frankly I'm surprised to see it coming from you.

At least it took a few years for people to start parroting the lie "Everyone thought Saddam Hussein had WMDs." It's been less than four months since George Bush was president, and already you falsely 'remember' the vast majority of Democrats calling Bush a war criminal for fighting a war against the Taliban...do you honestly think that people have forgotten that quickly?

Never happened. And furthermore, you know perfectly well that what you are saying is total crap. A total of ONE out of 535 members of Congress voted against the Afghanistan war, and I'm not aware of anyone serious who has called Bush a war criminal for fighting the war in Afghanistan.

Remember that time Bush ate a baby on FOX News, to the applause of the Republican establishment? If Obama did the same thing, you guys would be going nuts.

It was about politics, and nothing more. If I am wrong, then I want to hear the same people who condemned Bush condemn Obama. After all, he is doing pretty much the same thing.

    Article is here.
They are the same. Bush and Obama are the same. Look at what they do and not what they say. Even the appearance of what they do is suspect.

    A False Move on Gitmo
Obama’s lofty talk does nothing to resolve detainee situation.

"to summarize: We’d love to close Guantanamo, but we can’t right now; we’d love to transfer detainees out of Guantanamo, but other countries don’t want them; we’d love to give every detainee a civilian trial, but we don’t have enough evidence; we’d love to release the detainees we can’t charge with crimes, but our intelligence tells us they’re dangerous, so doing so would be irresponsible; and we’d love to stick to the highly civilized, detainee-friendly interrogation practices approved by the Army Field Manual, but every now and then there may be an emergency when something more severe is warranted.

Underneath all the lofty rhetoric, we’re gratified to see that this is change George W. Bush could believe in."
    Thank you

And finally - Democrat Vs. Republican support for the War in Iraq :

Seems to me that while Democrat support for the war in Iraq has been declining since the start, support for the war in Afghanistan has at the very least remained the same even while Bush was president(July 2008).
Or maybe it's because Democrats beat up on the War in Iraq for 8 years, and didn't lay a glove on Afghanistan.

Considering that I wasn't against the Afghanistan war even when Bush was in office, why would I be against it when Obama leaves?

Actually, when Bush was in charge, I was saying he should pursue the Taliban into Pakistan, if you remember.

I don't. But that's partly because I usually gloss over most of your rants and if it was buried in one of those, I wouldn't have seen it.
