    U.S. Soldier Shoots 5 of His Comrades to Death in Iraq

    http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/12/wo...12iraq.html?hp
    BAGHDAD The United States military said Monday that five American soldiers had been shot to death by a fellow soldier who opened fire on them at one of the biggest American bases in Baghdad, and that the suspected shooter was in custody. The killings appeared to be the worst case of soldier-on-soldier violence among the American forces based in Iraq since the invasion more than six years ago.
    Don't go talking about "bad apples"....our soldiers in Iraq have been asked to stay too long, have suffered too much, and have not complained. The military needs to know when to say "enough" to the civilian command structure, and not subject our young men and women to endless pressure.

    This psycho didn't murder his fellow soldiers because he's under endless pressure. He murdered them because he's a psycho.

    My guess is he's a little pussy who can't hack it, gets made fun of because of it, then goes on rampage.

    Have not complained?? On what planet? You clearly don't understand the military if you think no one has complained about deployments to Iraq.

    I would like to thank the OP for giving a graphic and blunt example of why the Left cannot be trusted in any regards when it comes to the US military or Iraq.

    Without any information whatsoever(past a headline) the OP has deemed fit to weave this instance into their canned 6 year old defeatist talking points.

    It is pretty loathsome when partisan hacks like yourself try to use our troops for some kind of sick "I told you so" political game.

    The trooper probably had issues long before being stationed in Iraq.

    It's a shame...
    ...a shame this happened at all;
    ...and a shame you're using this as a political football.

    The Bush administration used the entire military as a football, forcing troops to return to Iraq year after year with no end, denying help for PTSD, misusing the National Guard. A "liberal" administration will now show the proper respect for the military, and not crowd these young soldiers into a psychological corner where they commit suicide or perform acts of violence.

    Dude, you had better hope and pray to every god and goddess you can think of that this never happens. The day the military says "enough" is the day this country ceases to exist. The day the military says "enough" is the day your sheltered universe shatters.

    Every member of the Armed Forces takes an oath to defend the Constitution. That Constitution explicitly subordinates the military to the civilian government. The military does not get the luxury of saying "enough" whenever it pleases them. The military gets the privilege of saying "Yes, Sir" and carrying out whatever orders are given to the very best of their considerable ability.
