Usually, the purpose of stress tests is to bring bad news to light sooner rather than later.But the Obama administration, through a combination of smart timing, finesse and some good old-fashioned luck avoided the worst — so much so that Thursday’s stress-test results seemed barely a blip, even though they showed 10 banks need another $75 billion in capital.
So why are Dear Leader and Tiny Tim working to obscure the bad news presumably revealed by the so-called "stress tests"?
Especially since the banks were given their opportunity to game the numbers?
